Magic Bidding info

Magic Bidding is a tool for practising of bridge bidding, developed by Tomas Brenning.
The program runs under Windows95/98/NT. Windows 3.11 is not supported.

Magic Bidding imports text files generated by Bridge D/A, and offers a Windows
interface for handling the bidding practising sessions.

A short description of this procedure:

1.Start Bridge D/A and set the appropriate criteria.

2.Make sure that the Text check box is checked and click the Create N-S files button.

3.Exit Bridge D/A and start Magic Bidding. A new Magic Bidding document is
automatically created. The Magic Bidding tree structure is similar to the file
hierarchy you find in Windows Explorer. One or more bidding sessions can be
inserted into each document.

4.Select Bidding->Insert Bidding Session in the main menu. A wizard will guide you
through the steps needed to insert a bidding session.

5.Right-click the bidding session, select one of the players, and start bidding.
When you have made a bid, the focus is automatically moved to the Next button.
This means that you can press Space Bar to continue to the next deal.

6.You have to manage the defensive bidding. If your right hand opponent's
hand flashes, you have to follow the instructions below your name and make his bid.

7.When you have finished bidding, save the file and send it to your partner,
preferably by email.
